Spectacular Ecuador Adventure: Fail to plan, plan to fail

We are a group of 18 Girlguiding Senior Section members and 4 Leaders from across London Over the Border County (East London and West Essex area). We are celebrating 100 years of The Senior Section by visiting Ecuador in August 2016. We will be staying with a community deep in the Amazon, exploring the Andes and working with The Book Bus on two service projects in the Galapagos. We plan to develop our understanding of the challenges that tourism brings to a delicately balanced environment.

Fail to plan, plan to fail

Planning our adventure has taken over a year. It's essential for a successful trip for all participants to get to know each other before an adventure such as ours. The group didn't all know each other before they were hand selected to have this opportunity. And given we are a girl-led organisation it's important that everyone has the opportunity to have a say in what activities we do and what social action projects we undertake.
