Day 3 - Extreme Adventures

Extreme. That pretty much sums up our day. We started our day with breakfast which was at 7:30am. There was an mandatory eggy bread in the selection of food at the buffet. (It wouldn't be a guide trip without one). First thing on our agenda today was white (brown/ green) water rafting, our options were level 3-fun, level 4- a bit risky, level 5- you die, so we chose 3. Luckily we had a GoPro on each raft boat so we managed to get good footage of all of us falling in. We also realised Ecuador was not as modest as we thought when we all had to change on the beach. As the day was full of quick changes, on the way back from rafting we stopped off at a local restaurant where the vegetarians were served vegetable soup then beetroot salad and the meat eaters also had soup followed by grilled chicken and rice. Following lunch, we went on a swing on the "edge of the world"🌎(so literally swinging off a cliff). There was also a treehouse kinda falling off the cliff but we still went up. We then went to the tree top canopy trail and looked the view and superman style zipline which unfortunately weren't able to do as it didn't meet Girlguiding health and safety requirements however we made up for it. At the next waterfall we were given the option to take a "long" walk down and able to see the whole view of the waterfall and take a quick shower underneath. Or take a short walk over the waterfall, where they strolled over two bridges and took full top to bottom view photos. Decisions decisions! Both of us went on the long walk, it took us ten minutes to walk down the steep "20 minute" walk mountain and 14 minutes to climb up again  on the "1 hour" route. #teambadass! We then had the choice between having dinner in a restaurant or getting takeaway and heading off to the hot springs. We chose the hot springs because we wanted to get scolded and then frozen again (apparently good for the blood circulation). We rented a fashionable range of  swimming hats, which Ella and Zoe by far looked the best in. Finally after a long day, it was time to head back to the hotel to get some sleep. Can't wait for what adventure is up next!

We met some women also on the tourist trail
